ETWA works to create a sustainable and empowering manufacturing base in East Timor and so we bypass the charity model that so often dis-empowers women and makes them reliant on others. However, donations give East Timorese women breathing space while strategic initiatives develop. We have specific projects that need support and a bit of TLC; click here for more info

Donate goods for ETWA in Australia

1. TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS- $2 or more are 100% deductible

To make a deductible donation either:

a) Complete an ETWA Donations Form to make a donation via Cheque, Money Order or Credit Card and return to: ETWA PO Box 3079 Auburn, Vic Australia 3123

b) Simply make an online transfer to the AVI Westpac account:

Following online transfers, please send us an email to office@etwa.org.au with your name, address and amount of donation so we can post a tax receipt to you.

If you have never made a tax deductible donation, here's how it works:

1. Donate to ETWA through our partnership with Australian Volunteers International (AVI) and provide us with your name and address

2. We send you a tax receipt on behalf of AVI

3. Claim the donation and/ or bring the receipt to your accountant at tax time.

2. Donate goods to East Timor

Access to many items that we in the west take for granted is limited in East Timor. Often the cost is prohibitive or the goods are just not available. The Coop can use all types of goods in reasonable condition, particularly:

Office equipment (computers, paper, printers, pens etc)
Sewing accessories (scissors, needles, threads, pins etc)
Bolts of quality fabrics such as cotton (mainly used for lining bags etc)
Craft supplies (guillotine, cutters, glue etc)

If you have goods you think may be useful for our friends in East Timor, call us on + 61 3 9918 3239 or email us. As it costs around AU$5,000 to send a container to East Timor, goods will be transported at an appropriate time. You can help fund a container too contact us:

3. Donate goods for ETWA in Australia

ETWA aims to minimise costs in Australia to maximise benefits for East Timor. You can help us decrease our spending in Australia by donating:

Computer equipment (desktop, laptop, scanner)
Computer software (programs such as Outlook, Access, Illustrator, Windows XP)
Office materials (printer toner & ink, A4, A5 & A3 paper, pens, notebooks etc, blank CD's)
Professional printing (if you are able to assist us through in-kind support)
Other equipment (photocopier, binding machine)
Postage & packing (envelopes all sizes, postage paid envelopes, post packs, bubble wrap, stamps)
Support for volunteers (an extra way of saying 'thank you- (tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits))
Books of 50c stamps
