The following info helps to keep ETWA members informed, in contact, download documents and share information. We've tried to organise them so they reflect the elements of our organisation. If the flow isn't logical to you, or you have anything you'd like to add, please email the office: office@etwa.org.au

Downloading documents:

Many of the documents available for download are Adobe pdf files. You need Acrobat Reader to open and view the files. If you don't have this program, click here to go to the Adobe website to download and install the program (it's free and safe!).

Members

We acknowledge that many, many volunteers contribute in a variety of ways. If you would like to contribute to a team, put your name down for certain tasks or take on any of the roles below please email the office: office@etwa.org.au

·     Groups and roles within the organisation - who does what, join a group

·     People needed - organising roles

·     People needed - 'turn up' roles

·     Tasks

·     Projects - these may be 'one off' or ongoing. They are some of the projects/roles that have been identified as needing to be done but don't have a position description

·     Working in a group? Want to have a teleconference for the cost of a normal call?

TASKS (that need doing!)

·         Chase up photos of committee of management, member coordinators, office crew etc (in groups if possible) for website

 ·         Chase up businesses and organisations that might be able to make in-kind donations to ETWA (see website under 'donations for East Timor' and 'donations for Australia')

 ·         Chase up someone to do a 'Green' audit and a 'Disability-friendly' audit of the office

Daisy Chain Teleconference

This requires everyone (except the last person) to have a phone with a recall (or flash) button.

1.      Press recall and wait for dial tone

2.      Get dial tone and dial phone number

3.      This will put you through like a normal phone call

4.      Press recall and then 3 to bring the person into the teleconference

5.      Press recall and 1 to drop them from teleconference (I think)

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

1. If one person hangs up, then everyone after them in the 'chain' will hang up.

i.e. A calls B who calls C who calls D. When B hangs up C and D will be lost. When C hangs up D will be lost. If D hangs up A, B & C can continue their call.

2. The person starting the daisy chain doesn't need to call recall and 3.

3. People will only be charged the cost of the 1 phone call they make.

4. Yes, the first time you try this it will take a while!!
