etwa on You Tube

A sneak 5 minute preview of our stunning film Heru Ini Lafu: Weaving Life is up on You Tube and viewable here! Maybe you have time to help organise a screening  of the full 26min version in your community?

Depending on your internet connection the video may stop and start. Press pause and wait until the timeline turns a lighter shade of red then press play. You’ll be able to watch the film uninterrupted ;-)

If there’s a problem, you can always try going directly to You Tube – click here

If all else fails, contact us!

Congratulations Ego Lemos!

The feature film Balibo has won two top prizes at this year’s Screen Music Awards in Sydney. See ABC for full story

spare time anyone?

If you like a challenge and working with like-minded people, come along and help out at one of our many events for the remainder of 2009. We’ve set a fundraising and product sales target of $3,000 this Christmas season and we need help to acheive this.

Giving a few hours to help ETWA between now and Christmas will make a massive difference to the lives of women in East Timor.

Complete a Contact Form and type volunteer in the subject line.

Hands needed in East Timor!

For almost two years we’ve been working towards building spaces specifically for women in the three remote communities and we’re almost there!  Thanks to Rotary, we almost have sufficient resources to complete the projects however we still need a bit more cash and many pairs of skilled hands when construction commences in August 2009.

See our projects page for more info.
